Just outside Mount Joy, PA, there’s a family farm where the cattle graze on rotating pastures, the sunflowers bloom in summer, and life on the land is full of energy, laughter, and love. LaFaver Family Farm is more than just one of our retail vendors—it’s a homegrown operation rooted in hard work, community values, and a whole lot of heart.

We’re proud to have Plum Creek pretzels stocked in their farm store freezer, nestled among premium cuts of pasture-raised beef and other local favorites. If you haven’t visited yet, this might just be your sign.

A Passion for Quality (and Cows!)

LaFaver Family Farm is known throughout the region for its commitment to raising premium-quality beef at an affordable cost. The herd is made up mainly of Black Angus, and the family runs a cow/calf grazing operation, rotating the animals from pasture to pasture every few days. This method keeps the animals happy and healthy—and results in incredibly flavorful, well-marbled beef.

All products are processed at a local USDA-certified butcher shop and then sold through local stores, restaurants, and their own farm store. You’ll find everything from ground beef and roasts to specialty cuts perfect for grilling season.

And if you stop by the farm, you might just meet Gracie, Hazel, Penny, Paisley, and Millie—the farm’s five friendly and fluffy Highland cows who are just as much a part of the family as the people who care for them.

You’ll often find the owners’ three daughters farming right alongside them, from planting spring crops to helping during harvest.
