At Plum Creek Foods, our delicious baked goods are crafted by a team of incredibly talented and passionate individuals. We’re thrilled to introduce you to some of the wonderful people who make our bakery such a special place. Meet Rebekah, Sadie, Elizabeth, Emmy, Kate, Natalie, and Kyla—our star bakers!
Rebekah: The Pretzel Maestro
When Rebekah isn’t whipping up tasty treats, she’s likely found reading, playing the violin and piano, or enjoying some cooking and baking at home. Her love for music and culinary arts blends perfectly in her role at the bakery. Interestingly, Rebekah’s first job was data entry in a photography business, which might explain her incredible attention to detail in every pretzel she makes.
Her favorite spot to relax and enjoy a meal in the area is Shady Maple. Rebekah’s top tip for making the perfect pretzel? Make sure the feet are tucked in after twisting. Dreaming of a getaway, she has her sights set on either Switzerland or the English countryside. And if she could have any superpower, it would be teleportation, so she could explore the world at her own pace!
Sadie: The Nature Nurturer
Sadie’s heart belongs to both baking and the great outdoors. When she’s not at work, she loves spending time with children and baking up a storm. With a background in teaching grades 1-8, her passion for nurturing shines through in everything she does.
Her favorite escape is getting out in the woods, where she finds peace and inspiration. Sadie’s top pretzel-making tip is all about balance: work efficiently—slow enough to do it right but fast enough to get it done. If she had a superpower, it would be the ability to fly, giving her the freedom to explore nature from a new perspective.
Elizabeth: The Garden Guru
Elizabeth thrives in the garden, caring for horses, and playing volleyball. Her love for animals and nature is evident in her everyday life, and it all started with her first job at Helping Hands & Hearts, where she worked with children.
When it comes to dining out, Texas Steak is her go-to spot. For pretzel perfection, Elizabeth attests to using soft dough. Hawaii is her dream destination, where she hopes to relax and soak up the sun. If given a superpower, she’d choose to read minds!
Emmy: The Horse Whisperer
Emmy is a true equestrian at heart, spending her free time riding her horse. Her skills aren’t limited to horseback riding—she’s also a master at twisting pretzels up in the air, a talent she honed during her first job at a pretzel stand at Green Dragon.
Hershey Farms Restaurant is her favorite local spot, where she enjoys delicious meals. Emmy’s pretzel-making prowess includes making 50 pretzels in just 5 minutes! She dreams of exploring the vast landscapes of Montana. If she could choose a superpower, Emmy would opt for invisibility, allowing her to move through life both unseen and undisturbed.
Kate: The Baller
Kate’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious, both on the basketball court and in the bakery. She loves to read, play basketball, and go running. Her first job was a cleaning role, but she’s found her true passion in baking.
She enjoys spending time at Waters Edge Mini Golf, where she can unwind and have fun. When it comes to pretzels, Kate jokes that there’s no secret to the perfect pretzel—just enjoy the process! Her dream is to travel the world in an RV, starting with a visit to LA. If she could have any superpower, Kate would choose invisibility, allowing her to be around people without them knowing.
Natalie: The Coffee Connoisseur
Natalie is always on the lookout for new coffee shops to try, combining her love of travel with her passion for a good brew. Her first job was babysitting for her sisters, where she learned patience and responsibility.
Her favorite local coffee spot is New Holland Coffee Co., a place she frequents often. Natalie believes that practice makes perfect, especially when it comes to pretzel-making. She dreams of flying and traveling anywhere for free, a superpower that would let her explore the world one coffee shop at a time.
Kyla: The Puzzle Prodigy
Kyla’s hobbies include volleyball, baking, drawing, and doing puzzles. Her first job involved cleaning the house for her mom, where she developed a strong work ethic.
A fun fact about Kyla is that her pinkies are different lengths, and several of her knuckles are positioned further back on her hands, making her unique in more ways than one. She dreams of visiting the Maldives or Brazil, and she loves sharing random facts and stories with her teammates to keep things lively. If she could have any superpower, it would be flying, giving her the freedom to soar above it all.
